PSTE
The Pre-service Teacher Education (PSTE) department is one of the core academic branches found in every District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), as envisaged under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms. It is responsible for organising and running the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) programme, which prepares candidates to become elementary school teachers.
The department plans the academic calendar for the diploma course, conducts theory and pedagogy classes, organises internships and practice-teaching in schools, and carries out continuous and comprehensive evaluation of trainees, in line with the curriculum prescribed by SCERT Tamil Nadu and NCTE regulations. பணிமுன் ஆசிரியர் கல்வி (PSTE) துறையானது, தேசிய ஆசிரியர் கல்வி மன்றத்தின் (NCTE) விதிமுறைகளின்படி, ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டக் கல்வி பயிற்சி நிறுவனத்திலும் (DIET) காணப்படும் முதன்மைக் கல்விப் பிரிவுகளுள் ஒன்றாகும். தொடக்கநிலைப் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களாக மாற வேண்டிய வேட்பாளர்களைத் தயார்படுத்தும் இரண்டாண்டு தொடக்கக்கல்வி ஆசிரியர் பட்டயக்கல்வி (D.El.Ed.) படிப்பை ஏற்பாடு செய்து நடத்துவது இத்துறையின் பொறுப்பாகும்.
SCERT தமிழ்நாடு நிர்ணயித்துள்ள பாடத்திட்டம் மற்றும் NCTE விதிமுறைகளுக்கு ஏற்ப, பட்டயக் கல்விப் படிப்பிற்கான கல்வியாண்டு நாட்காட்டியைத் திட்டமிடுதல், கோட்பாடு மற்றும் கற்பித்தல் வகுப்புகள் நடத்துதல், பள்ளிகளில் பயிற்சிப் பணி மற்றும் நடைமுறைக் கற்பித்தலை ஏற்பாடு செய்தல், பயிற்சி பெறுநர்களின் தொடர்ச்சியான மற்றும் விரிவான மதிப்பீட்டை மேற்கொள்ளுதல் ஆகியவற்றை இத்துறை செய்கிறது.
