AE
The Assessment & Evaluation (AE) department corresponds to the curriculum, material development and evaluation functions of a DIET under NCTE norms. It is concerned with developing evaluation tools, test items and assessment techniques used to measure learning outcomes at the elementary level, and with training teachers in continuous and comprehensive evaluation practices.
This department's work connects with State-level and national learning assessments — such as periodic Achievement Surveys — that are administered to gauge student learning levels; current announcements relating to such surveys, where applicable, are published on the Announcements page. The department also supports evaluation of trainees in the D.El.Ed. programme run by the Institute.
